Iron Carpet Dents

Apply a hot clothes iron to the cloth.

Make sure to lay towels under your rug if you can when using the ice cube method. Never press an iron directly onto the carpet. Steam the dents until the fibres are wet and hot. Wait 12 hours blot up wet spots then use the edge of a spoon to lift carpet fibers back up.
